Shit son, Origin sales!

Remember when the EA guy trashed Steam for having lots of sales?

Quote:
Electronic Arts has launched a new discount promotion for eighteen games hosted on its Origin portal.

The discount spree offers eighteen games at 5 in the UK, representing a saving as big as 90 per cent in some cases.
Dragon Age Origins (RRP 40), Spore (20) and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (20) are some of the titles that can be downloaded for 5.

The offer comes days after David DeMartini, EA's senior VP of global e-commerce, insisted that Origin would not participate in such discount promotions because "it cheapens intellectual property".

The Origin sales offer can be found here.

At least they're trying to be competitive now, even if it means they're being hypocritical for bashing Steam for sales then doing exactly the same thing. Them be some pretty good deals on there though. But do I want my games on Origin?

Well to be fair, wasn't he complaining about games going on sale on Steam after a month past release? Kind of a silly statement, because I don't think I've seen games go on sale that quickly on Steam, it's mostly physical copies that go on sale.

At least, that's my experiences. <3 Amazon.

Games are on sale on Steam before release, they're always like 10% off. Combine that with the new 30 for a full new game and boom, saving so much money. Love Steam even more now that games aren't all releasing Day 1 at 40.

Amazon was awesome 2 or 3 years ago and before, now they rarely have the best deals. That honor now belongs to newegg. Almost every new release can be pre-ordered for $47.99 free shipping. Amazon can't beat that.
