Resident Evil: Downfall

Yay! more Resi is always good and Claire as the main character makes it better.

A third Resident Evil game for Nintendo 3DS appears to be in development.

Nintendo World Report spotted an article about Resident Evil: Degeneration-Damnation-Downfall 3D on Digital Spy before it was removed. Apparently the game's due out on Nintendo 3DS later this year.

Degeneration and Damnation apparently refer to movies that are included on the game cartridge. Downfall, however, is a reference to a game that takes place between Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, and features Claire Redfield, who witnesses the downfall of humanity.

3DS game Resident Evil Revelations, which launched earlier this year, was set between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. Will Capcom announce Downfall at the E3 trade show next month?

Claire is my favorite Resi character and i loved Resi: Revelations.

Also the 2 movies beeing in there is cool but worries me the game will be lukewarm like what happened with tekken 3D.

Hopefully it'll be another Revelations, and not like RE5 following RE4. I really enjoyed 5, but it didn't have the same magic 4 had, and I thought Revelations did. Really hope they hit it home with Downfall, and I might actually consider getting a 3DS after that.

Part of me is saying 'Wait for the inevitable re-model' and another part is saying 'BUY THE PRETTY GAMES!!!111'. Which to listen to.... hmmm...

A resident evil with claire is high on demand and hasnt been made since code veronica, wich i rank as the best RE ever... so yeah i'd rather that to all the other ones, especially since revelations was so enjoyable... though breath of fire badly needs a new installment.

You could release a new game for every one of those and combined they wouldnt match how much one new RE will sell.

Not that I love the way the industry is today, it's same with Call of Duty and Activision dumping all of their other franchises so they can make a yearly COD. But at least the RE games are enjoyable (except the disgraceful Operation Raccoon City but I dont even count that)

justin, so in other words they should forget their heritage and just focus on milking a small handful of series? No wonder Capcom sucks today.

Capcom is actually one of the best Japanese companies at the moment for trying new IP's there hardly only make a handful of series'

Well if you say so. Even if I do finish one of their newer games, they don't keep me playing long afterwards. In short, I miss the great software that made me want to keep playing over and over again. What their older games lack in length they more than compensate for in replay value.
