Tim Schafer's - Adventure

So this is pretty different. They want to make a classic old school point and click adventure game. Very awesome. But they're asking for the gaming community to help fund it by paying for the game now or for more expensive package deals they have. They need something like 400k before they can fully complete it. Funny thing is they surpassed that amount about 3hours after the news article went up. Very cool. They're over 500k and plan to leave this going for another 33 days. Game is being released through steam. Head to the link for more info on the game as well as the packages you can pay for.

It's cool cause we can basically preorder it by donating $15, and we're also helping get it made/ported/etc. Hope more quality studios do this in the future.

I don't envy Schafer tbh, imagine the pressure he now has? After all of that, he has to make one fucking godly game. I hope he can deliver, I've already put in a bit of cash and I'd love a nice old school point and click adventure.

Wow, I believe they're pretty damn close to the grim fandango budget at this point.

i have to agree wif KoS tho. this went from a "small budget project" to a "this better be the next coming of christ" game.

Double Fine's record-breaking adventure game kickstarter has officially ended, closing out with $3.3 million raised, as well as an extra $110,000 from off-the-record premium backers. Great show, guys.

gonna be a lot of pressure making an awesome game, but tim's track record means it'll at least be above average
