Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition; free, obviously

Just goes to show that their are still some awesome, generous developers out there!

Quote:
Do you own the Witcher 2? Good news! On April 17 your copy of the Witcher 2 will be upgraded to the Enhanced Edition free. That’ll add new quests, new places to quest in and new “major characters” to meet.

There will also be a new CGI cutscene depicting the assassination of King Demavend. According to the news post on Good Old Games “BAFTA Award winner and Academy Award nominee Tomasz Baginski brings this key historical event to life (not actually historical – Historical Ed)” You’ll also get a game map, game guide, manual, soundtrack and Witcher comic free.

Are you planning to own The Witcher 2 before April 17? Good news! You ALSO will get your copy upgraded come April. The Witcher 2 is on sale at 15% off for the next two weeks on Good Old Games to celebrate.

The Enhanced Edition is just the latest in a big series of hefty free updates that have been added to The Witcher 2 over the course of the last year as CD Projekt continue to make their great game greater still. Bravo.

Awesome game, I hope it sells well on the Xbox. CD Projekt really deserve it.

No surprise there, but I love them plenty. I doubt it'll sell well on xbox though. They might reach 100k.

I think with all the press the PC version got and the Skyrim fever, the game will see pretty good sales.
Given proper advertisement i think it could sell at least 300k+ on the US and 200k+ in europe.

These numbers are totally unbased though. But, given kingdoms of amalur has 120k pre-orders at the moment (in the US) and its a relatively unknown game i extrapolated those.

It might end up selling alot more than that though. I can see it selling 1 million across both regions.

Oh and yeah, even though i have a PC that can run the PC version pretty well im still going for the Xbox version. I dont like playing anything aside MMORPG/FPS/RTS on the PC.

Witcher2 is the kind of game that will sell well on 360.

Yeah I think it'll do alright. Skyrim was a huge, open adventure, whereas Witcher is a more linear, storyline-oriented game. I'm sure it'll do well as long as it gets advertised well.

Just show 1 split second of a sex scene in the advert and BAM, sales.

KILL YOURSELF HORRIBLY BEFORE I DO IT!

I'd like for the game to sell really well. But console gamers dont like buying games that are old. Despite it being new to console its already been on pc for almost a year. I dont recall many games that were on pc for ages selling well once a console port came by after an age. But yeah, I really do hope it sells well. That game deserves well over 3 million. People will be confused when playing it though since it continues from the previous game and all the back story for the characters and land arent there so everything will be all 'why are they doing this, whos that, I dont understand'.

Rubbish .. It's easy to follow if you haven't played the first.

Its easy to follow if you turn your brain off you mean. The world and the characters are totally alien to you. Its like jumping into the middle of a tv show season. In season 2.

CD Projekt deliberately made the storyline accessible since a lot of people wouldn't have played the first game. I'm sure it'll be fine. Though Darren, maybe we're underestimating just how stupid some people can be...

I still need to finish the game! I got hooked on skyrim and dungeon defenders.
