Yeah I like it that stores are using Paypal more. I hate registering my credit card with stores online and when they accept paypal, I can just skip that annoying step.

Good news everyone!

Sony is going to give us a free gift cause of this! But we don't know what it is going to be yet, they're still thinking of what to give us.

I'm hoping for one year free of PSN+ so that way I get all the free game to play for a year

Truth tho .. they can keep any free bit of crap they might offer up in favor of a good/secure network this time, its all i want from them

maybe they could some how return the hours of my life i have had to spend checking CC statements, cancelling my credit card that is used for all sorts then having to change a shit load of DDs that used the card ..

but if they really want to give us something nice .. screw a free psn game .. xgame chat please

but tbh Sony deserve eerything they get over this the same way MS deserved everything they got from the RROD.

the network won't go back up unless it is secure. They're probably using the firmware that caused it and seeing if it lets them back in. Which is probably why it's taking so long.

its probebly taking so long as the new one is probebly being built/tested by the halfwits that designed/built the 1st one

Cross game chat is patented by MS so they have to get around that in some way.

I wonder why the hackers waited 5 years until Steam came on PS3 to hack their srvers. Surely they could have done it earlier if the network was so easy to hack.

most things are patented, all they have to do is just change how it works, different software with a new name, even tho it does the same thing, it's still considered different.

It's like the Dpad, Nintendo owns the rights to that, but all video game controllers have one, but all they did was change the look to it and now you have pretty much the same thing.

Yeah, but nobody's d-pads are better than Nintendo's.... Well, Hori's are as good, but I'm pretty sure they pay Nintendo to use the design.
