Nah, it wasn't horrible. And, to be fair, I would have gotten a case anyways to protect it. The case would have nullified the antenna issue. But I still decided to hold off another year since my phone was still working. But the performance of the 3G seriously deteriorated this year, I was going to update this year no matter what. :/
For awhile, I pondered getting an Android phone....but providers were dropping unlimited data plans. I'm still grandfathered in with ATT. If (when) they decide to stop the unlimited plans for everyone, I'll look at what Android phones are offering when it's time to upgrade.

In my opinion i'd say go for the Iphone 4S. People are just greedy because they want a new redesign.
It is still a worthy upgrade. Although the idle battery life has gone down though. |

I just picked up the Samsung Galaxy S II a few days ago. It's a beast of a phone. I decided to jump from iPhone to Android to see how the grass feels on the other side of the fence. Thus far I'm really digging it. The openness of the Android platform has really pulled me in. The screen is amazing, probably the closest thing I've seen thus far to rival the iPhone 4 retinal display. The pixels aren't quite as tight, but the colors are much more vibrant. I've really been enjoying the extra screen size as well.
It's got some great options in emulators (even PSOne emulators) but not nearly as much game wise in the Android Market as what you would get on an iPhone. Assuming phone games are your thing. I find that I often buy them, but never play them because I hate the touch screen controls.

Not bad. I don't think I've noticed an android phone that wasn't comparable to an iPhone in terms of battery life. If you have your Android phone setup to fetch a lot of data and you keep things running in the background a lot, it will definitely drain your battery.

So if I'm upgrading the FroYo to Gingerbread, the phone will be in better power management ? Samsung Galaxy Mini isn't officially support Gingerbread, but there's a way to do it.
