Better off buying the cheaper Morrowind and using the graphics patch that makes it look better then oblivion. Way better game. Oblivion was just soulless.

It was average. Very average. Even with all the mods to improve it. Morrowind was far better.

I hated Oblivion too, that's the only reason I was a bit coy with Skyrim. Morrowmind was awesome, and then Oblivion was just so boring and had a horrible UI. I stopped playing after about an hour or two of sheer boredom. Not going anywhere near that thing again. Good thing I got it in a sale for a similar price as it is now.

I wish that was the only reason. But the game was pretty dull. The story was shit. Even the side quests were fairly average to poor. It was just a large world you could roam around in. The combat and other skills were changed and simplified so badly since morrowind. I'd like to mention morrowind was also consolified. I was playing Elder Scrolls games long before Morrowind. How I loved Daggerfall, even with all its faults.

Daggerfall was awesome, my first Elder scrolls game, I got it cause when I played the demo from PC gamer magazine, I noticed BOOBS! So I had to have it.

Yep. Consoles are the reason boobs were removed. Thanks consoles. I used to climb over the walls of the city at night since the gates close, climb on top of rooftops hoping the guards dont see me, through an open tavern window, come face to face with a topless whore who screams and alerts the guards, and then I'm running along and hiding somewhere. Best game. So many factions. The new ones are so watered down it hurts.

i played oblivion before morrowind and liked it a lot. solid game. then i played morrowind with the graphics extender mod and was blown away. so much content in that game i ended up buying the strategy guide morrowind: prophecies. i still have not finished morrowind because it's literally hundreds of hours of quests. i have like 100 hours in the game and not even close to done. when i'm done with skyrim i'll probably finish morrowind.

Magicka is upfor sale until the 22nd, down to $2.49, pretty awesome for such a great game. Or you can get the entire magicka pack, dlc and everything, for $6.24... Awesome.
