My most regrettable purchase of 2010. What a complete waste, oh well I'm glad that Joe bought one to which does help me feel better.

Been playing with Kinect for a few days now. Imo, Kinect Sports also should have been included in the package. It's also suprisingly less fun than Kinect Adventures which is a solid freebie. Joyride makes the arms tired, quickly - kind of thinking that also may have been best as a pack in. Dance Central is quite good, but is difficult quickly. Kids love it. Not a fan of the high prices for the DLC. They need to sell packets of songs/dance like Konami did for DDR. The greatest use of it will be for dancing or excersize. It's almost like buying a slightly more expensive version of Wii Fit. Now the only question is to either get Your Shape or EA's far more expensie EA SPorts Active 2.

For non-gaming, it's cool to control the ESPN, Last FM, etc., channels by voice and gesture. Hope they add Netflix support soon though. I could see Hulu Plus actually being worth the surcharge if I could control it by voice and gesture.

The stuff the pc hackers will do will make it a worthwhile purchase I think. They have allready done some cool stuff.

I got to play with this today, at sears of all places. I am now wondering if it detects you better of you are home alone and not in the middle of the electronics department. My actions were detected pretty well but there was about half a second of input lag which made most of the Wii sports rip off games very difficult.

It was very cool technology but I still don't see the gaming applications. I said it back when the thing was revealed, outside of Wii sports type games I don't see what gaming potential it has.

Speaking of things you should grab...

Played the Gunstringer for a while today (got it a little early). It's awesome. Great, intuitive controls and the story/premise/sense of humor are all fantastic. I like it much better than Child of Eden, not that Eden is bad.
