Radiant Silvergun Coming to Xbox Live

Quote:
Radiant Silvergun, the spiritual progenitor of Ikaruga, is coming exclusively to the Xbox 360 next year, Microsoft said at its Tokyo Game Show news conference. The title is being developed by Treasure, the original studio behind both games.

Radiant Silvergun, an arcade favorite brought to the Sega Saturn in 1998, will feature online cooperative play and improved graphical fidelity on the Xbox 360. It was one of five titles coming out next year under exclusive partnerships between Japanese developers and Microsoft. Other titles included Fire Pro-Wrestling from Spike. Kinect-enabled exclusives included Haunt from Masaya Matsuura, the creator of Parappa the Rapper and Vib Ribbon; Project Draco, from the studio Grounding Inc.

This is good for those who could never find or afford the Saturn game. I bought it on the Saturn when it was released so I didn't get anal raped. It is a really good game and I love it. It's far better than Ikaruga which I feel is mediocre at best. I wonder if the 360 version will feature 3 player simultaneous (known to today's "hip" gamers as local co-op).

quoting "hip" makes you sound like a big old nerd.

i prefer ikaruga because it's more challenging. radiant has the better soundtrack though.

Yeah, I missed it at launch so I could never get a decent price on it. I'll be happy to buy it for $10 or even $15!

Saves me about $200 to buy it for 360. Might as well.

Silvergun is way more challenging without color absorption gimmick. Play them side by side.

Fuck yeah!

I had a blast with Ikaruga. Great game, it's a fun mix of shooter and puzzle. But nostalgia keeps me from loving it more than Radiant Silvergun. Now I can have both on the comfort of one console. Best announcement yet next to the PSO2 one.

Yeah, but not quoting it makes today's gamers actually sound hip. I'll take a bullet for the cause.

Also, you quoted hip as well, you big ol' nerd!

What are you talking about? This is is XBLA title that will come to all regions, just as Ikaruga did before it.
