LucasArts Sale week on Steam

I love these sales, really helps trying out games you wouldn't otherwise.

First up is Star Wars the Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith edition. Looks cool, 75% off makes it a bit more appealing. The 30GB need of space on your HDD doesn't look as appealing.

I didnt really enjoy the force unleashed. I got bored during the darth vader episode... but for 7.50 its not that bad i suppose... if you can get past the initial boredom at least. ;)

I have most of the LucasArts games I would want, but maybe something will surprise me.

Knights of Old Republic for today.

That's damn cheap and if the Metacritic score of 93 is anything to go by, I might be picking this bad boy up.

[edit]
Picked up. Steam took it's time opening the damn PayPal window...

$2.50 for what is arguably one of the best Star Wars stories of all time? How generous!

I never finished KOTOR. This makes me want to pick it up to finish it, but I know I'm bringing my original xbox to school soon and I could just pick it up again. How much better does it look/play on the PC as opposed to the XBOX?

Better resolution, you can visit Yavin without having to sign up for Xbox Live, mods....all worth $2.50 in my eyes.

[EDIT] Oh yeah, apparently KOTOR plays like crap on the 360. One of the few games that didn't translate well from XBox to XBox 360. So if you ever want to replay it down the line, you will have to fish out your original Xbox each time. Hopefully it'll still work (I know my original XBox crapped out a few months ago). With a PC, you can just play it, you don't need to fish out any hardware. That's a major convenience in my eyes.

Damn, KOTOR is cheap. I never finished KOTOR either. I made it to the desert planet and did a few things there, but started playing something else and never finished it. To finish my old save on my XB or buy it for the price of a cup of coffee and start over on my PC??

I wish LucasArts would release the godly X-Wing and Tie Fighter games on Steam.

I'm not a fan of strategy games but been playing Dawn of War games and they're pretty awesome, so might pick this up.

The game was alright. Had some good ideas but in the end was a little underwhelming. Play Red Alert 3. Awesome.

Picked up KOTOR before the deal went away. I got it at around noon today. I thought it would've already been gone but I think they change the deals around 3pm EST, around the time new games are unlocked.

and that reason alone is why Digital Download isn't a good thing for another 10 years.
