That said, you actually liked X-men 1 better than 2? And 2 is much, much better written and more cohesive than 3.

X-Men 1 was fine, but 2 was the better movie. It was far more comic movie then the first, similar to Spiderman 2 was over 1. I'm sure there are other writers/directors who could of done a good job on Avengers. Claiming only 1 person could do it and any other version would of been shit is a bit stupid.

No troll but, fuck that who? Who could do a better job? Please please please somebody name a writer/director with the same kind of credentials as Whedon. Somebody? Just name them and if I have heard of them or seen their movies, we can start from there.

Anyway X-1 like I said, like all first movies gets my benefit of the doubt. But the subject matter and source material that was referenced in X-2 was a bit too coy and should have just went all in with it. Plus it just tried too hard not to be a comic book movie, which spiderman 2 completely tried to be and succeeded by not taking itself too seriously, yet, knew when to turn up the drama. X-2 just took R rated subject matter and dumbed it down for the movies.

I havent thought about who I'd want to do Avengers. But who knew Nolan would of done so well with Batman 1 and 2? No one. Same as with Thor where I completely wrote off the writer for it and he turned out to impress me greatly. We dont know every writer out there nor how they would do if given the chance. But pretty sure you can NOT say Whedon is the only choice in this universe. He did fine with Avengers, but I dont see how pointing out his writing style and constant similarities to every other script he does can be considered a bad thing. Its just he has little variety in how he writes.

Read.... what was it, god loves man kills x-men annual. X-2 was loosely based on that. You can probably find the torrent or the book online for sale. It's worth it. X-2 seemed like it was ashamed to be a comic movie and that is too bad. When you read it, you will know what I mean just by reading the first few pages.

I honestly thought Thor was so so, and could have been executed a lot better, but the fact that The Avengers movie was coming and this movie was the jumping point basically led to the insanely fast pacing. Thor is interesting if done correctly, his time on earth was supposed to be about learning humility and give him perspective, and I believe that you can't do all of that in a 90 minute movie.

I just want a movie of Wolverine in Japan! Use the Silver Samurai and the Hand Ninjas and then mixed with Sabretooth and lady Deathstrike! YOU CAN'T GO WRONGGGGGGGGGGG!

and then mix in Bloodscream for good fun
