Yeah but,

That is how it is in the comics pretty much. It is a good fight don't get me wrong, but it usually ends with Thor on his ass. I'm sure Thor fans are upset, but that is how it's always been. He has no shot of defeating Hulk, he may have once upon a time when he had the Odin force, but that is the only time. Whedon adding a bit of humor to it was also cool.

Dont think so. Hulk was smashing Thor around because Thor wasnt trying to fight him properly at the start. Once he got his hammer it showed he was getting serious. He just sat there waiting for it to come while Hulk charged at him, showing that he didnt fear him or care about his power level. If that jet hadnt come Thor would of sent Hulk off that carrier. Their fights are always interrupted even in the comics.

Sometimes they are, and sometimes Thor get's his ass beat, they fight all the time, and also it depends on how you define a fight. You speak like a true Thor fan.

Very cool website. Marvel has always played up Hulk more then they should though. I mean anytime he picks up the hammer, thats just bullshit right there and there. You cant beat a god. So they lower Thor down to make the fight closer. So frustrating.

If you’ve seen The Avengers, you’ll know there’s a mildly awkward moment where, of all games, Galaga is mentioned, then actually shown. Aside from coming across as an advertisement, it’s short, and it’s relatively harmless.

Thing is, because it needs to be officially mentioned, Galaga and its publishers Namco Bandai are then listed in the credits of the film. Only, they’re listed as NAMECO BANDAI. Whoops.

Marvel's The Avengers smashed domestic box office records this weekend, and now stands as having the biggest opening weekend of all time with an estimated $200.3 million. The previous record holder was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 with $169 million.

Despite the fact I live 20 metres away from a cinema, I still haven’t had the chance to see The Avengers yet. But all this hype has got me wondering precisely why THQ spent $16 million acquiring the license, then countless more millions developing the game, only to cancel it. Particularly when the pre-alpha footage looked so solid.

The Avengers game was the final project THQ Studio Australia was working on before its closure last year. When I was informed the game was actually shaping up well, I was cynical, but it did actually look like a well put together video game. This footage is pretty old — we first had a look at it last September — but I thought since everyone is going Avengers nuts at the moment, it might be worth revisiting.

For pre-alpha footage it looks great. The combat mechanics — particularly Iron Man’s — look well polished and, most importantly, fun.

Shame this never made it to market

I thought the game footage not only looked generic, but horribly thought out for some parts.

It's a movie based game Alucard. Don't expect much.

EDIT: But I loved the movie. Do you think that they will ever introduce Scarlet Witch and Quick Silver pretty soon? If they do, then they have to do a cross over with the X-Men. After all, Magneto is their father.

Its a good question. Considering who the main villain will be for Avengers 2, I'd expect them to introduce Scarlet Witch somehow. Quick Silver they can mostly ignore. I just hope the next X-Men movie they go with Mr Sinister. I mean how the fuck do you make 4 films and ignore the greatest villain around in the X-Men world. I'm hoping they do a tie in with Scarlet Witch and Dr Strange. Introduce them as a sort of duo. They'd be 100 times more better than useless Hawkeye and Black Widow.

My fingers are crossed for Enchantress to appear in Thor 2, so maybe theres a chance she'll be in Avengers 2.

Come to think of it, I don't think there will ever be a cross over between the two, since X-Men is owned by 20th Century Fox and the Avengers is owned by Paramount. But maybe both series can find a way to join forces.

Fox has Spiderman and X-Men movie rights so long as they keep making them. Donno how long they can wait between films. I think the same thing kinda happened with Superman, which is why WB is rushing out the next Superman movie ASAP.

Kind of a shitty contract.
