Changing the character designs was bad enough, but the battle system was what killed the game by being so overly frustrating and tedious.

I think Xenosaga ep3 did everything right. The battle system was fun and engaging without having to grind to protract the game and make it artificially longer. The storyline was cut short but ep3 somehow managed to draw it to a satisfying close. Even the ES/mech sections and battles were very cool!

Really curious where Xenoblade is going to land in the Xeno legacy. Still remains one of my favorite jrpg series.

Its a prequal no doubt. I dont exactly remember the ending of Xenosaga so well anymore but they left some misteries open to the time when everything began - the time when chaos was first born i believe.
I remember noticing that you could see they really wanted to tell more about that time in the Xeno 3 ending.

I was reading namco's results from last year and Vesperia sold half a million in US/EU wich wasnt too bad. Also the game seems to have had great sucess when it relaunched on Xbox live this year so im thinking it did well overall. I would expect Namco to release future titles online though. Soon after the sucess of vesperia they re-released Eternal Sonata aswell.

That’s a message Nintendo of America left on their Facebook page after a fan movement campaigning for localizations of Wii games Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower, dubbed “Operation: Rainfall,” took off on the IGN message boards.



Eventually, the movement snowballed and fans took to mass-pre-ordering Xenoblade Chronicles (currently known as Monado: Beginning of the World in the U.S.) on Amazon, resulting in it rising it to the top of the videogame charts on the site.



Developed by Xenosaga developer, Monolith Soft, Xenoblade Chronicles, under its U.S. name, Monado, was listed on Nintendo of America’s release calendar for many months after they showed the game at E3 2009. In fact, the game was shown in the U.S. even before Japan, but little has been heard regarding a U.S. localization since. In Europe, Xenoblade Chronicles is slated for release this year.



Judging by their Facebook message, Nintendo of America have taken notice of attempts by fans to get them to be more forthcoming on the issue of a U.S. release.

There's hope for the US yet.

Well Another Code R, Disaster and Fatal Frame have no chance now. Earthseeker I can see someone doing maybe XSeed. Ni No Kuni is gonna be done by Sony on the PS3 so I can see the DS version getting completely ignored.

playing the DS version at the moment, and besides carrying a book around for the puzzles, its a fun little jrpg

I have plans on getting a Wii this holiday (reserved Zelda). Honestly Xenoblade looks like the closest thing to a "new jrpg". I haven't had the feeling in a long time too.

I sincerely hope people buy no new Nintendo products at all. Saying "I'm buying a Wii for Zelda" lets Nintendo continue their sense of complacency about releasing games.
