Destrega sequel on PS3
I was just wondering, is anyone aware of any forthcoming plans to make a Destrega game on PS3?
I've just recently bought an original, brand new Playstation 1 console, and have been buying and re-playing all the games i had years ago as a kid. I remember having Destrega, and I loved playing it in multiplayer. There's never been any other Destrega games though, and i think its about time-multiplayer Destrega battles over the net would be great! Anyone know why this series hasn't been continued? |

I remember that game. It's from Koei , right ? Well the story is fictional, and Koei seems more interesting to make game based on historical events and/or popular manga/anime these days.
Not to mention Destrega kinda lack of "depth gameplay". I prefer Tobal 2 to get a deserve sequel. Imo, of course.

Oh and no I haven't heard anything, i'm with Badrats if DF are making another fighting game, let it be Tobal. Or at least put them on PSN.I mean the UK is getting Vagrant Story.

"Anything is possible" if the previous title sold well, i think. Unless there are very strong demand , of course.
Don't get me wrong, Destrega perhaps is a good game for some people. It's just not appealing that much for me ; especially if comparing to Dream Factory's Tobal 2. And Kiuju was right ; UK getting Vagrant Story so why not Tobal 2 ? They are on the same caliber.

Tobal 2 graphic shouldn't be even exist in Playstation 1 era. It's way leaping through time. As for the gamplay, man.. you should try it by yourself. It's the most technical 3-D fighting game in PS1, imo. So many complex moves. The only bad aspect of it is only the ring-out feature (yeah... in that era, who doesn't copy Virtua Fighters style ?
)As for Destrega, well... I can't say anything good beside its graphic. It's also good.

I must complain about the misleading thread title. At least put a question mark at the end of it...

Apologies for misleading you, I understand it is most likely a huge inconvenience.
I know the first game was a bit lacking in depth with regard to the single-player mode, but i think that technology has come so far now with modern game consoles, and this is a title they really could expand on hugely, adding a lot more depth and replay-value, not to mention hugely improved multiplayer modes. Im pretty disappointed to be fair, I was really hoping that there might have been a shred of news about a possible sequel somewhere, but i can't seem to find anything, and not many people have really even heard of the game, let alone played it themselves. |
