We might be looking at the first good 3D castlevania! Well it didn't strike me as "castlevania" at all, but still looked fun.

I'll admit, Patrick Stewart narrating sure helped make the trailer cooler.

They are ok. They tend to get repetitive and at times the entire level looks the same it can tiresome to look at. Castlevania: Curse of Darkness was the best on the PS2.

Need more info and pics/videos to make a decision. I really hope they don't go with a movie-type soundtrack, though. So far it seems the only thing "Castlevania"-ish about this game is the name... certainly not the story (so far).

I didn't know it was a Western developer.

I still think it's a bit too God of War-ish, but we've barely seen anything.

That said, Konami whoring out franchises to Western developers is nothing new.

Doubt he really knows anything about them they've made 2 games before this Scrapland (Xbox) and Jericho (XB360) both were pretty terrible. This game was announced months ago without the Castlevania tag.

Maybe they just decided to add it later.

Regardless of that, if you are a fan of these type of games, 2009-2010 gonna be a blast for sure. I'm so excited for all of them, cause all of them looks good and fun to play. (Bayonetta, GoW3,Dante's Inferno,Darksiders, Castlevania:Lord of Shadows) Just awesome.

Never mind him, 2nd voice Robert Carlyle aka BEGBIE from Trainspotting..

that's just awesome. Seems like he will be the voice of the main char going by what he says.

That said interesting seeing Kojimas production tagging along, Kojima doing some kind of a story or so for this one?
