I figure that sleeping on the floor put you in closer breathing range of all the dust and crap on your floor

not anymore than on your own bed. Just have to clean it regularly like you would your own bed.

What is this cleaning you speak of? It sounds like a cult of some sort.

I used to always sleep on the floor when my bedroom was on the top floor of the house! But now since I'm in the basement, it's REALLY cold, and all the heat from your body would escape if you slept on the floor. so I need a bed no matter what D:

YAY FOR FLOORS!

It's nice if, you have proper cushioning for your hips, and then you sleep like a baby without colic!

my mattress/box springs are on the floor, no frame or whatnot. It's always been like that for about 10 years.

But, my fluffy cloud bed doesn't fit in my car, so I have no bed (and no money) when I move. I plan on buying an air mattress.

I'm classy.

Hehe, you remind me of a friend of mine, the dude can sleep anywhere, and in the most awkward position also.

Won't surprise me if one day we catch him sleeping standing up.

My mattress is on the floor. I like it! I've also slept in some weird places; on the ground in parking lots, different cars, police station floor, county jail floor (too many times, very cold and pissy), front lawns, back yard furniture, window ledges, leaky water beds, and general couch surfing type stuff.

My bed is quite comfy though. I'm thinking of getting one of those memory foam things.
