SFIV Championship Mode Dated

sweet

Quote:
Street Fighter IV's Championship Mode has finally been dated, with the free upgrade coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next week.

The pack heavily bolsters the online content, introducing tournaments and a replay function. Tournament Mode builds upon the Battle Point system currently employed by the game, with players acquiring Grad Points to enter higher tier tournaments, wherein huge amounts of Championship Points are up for grabs. Capcom's Unity blog has the full rundown on what the new Tournament Mode brings to the game.

Most exciting is the introduction of a replay function, allowing players to analyze their opponents moves and spectate in tournaments. The PlayStation Network version will enable players to rate videos, applying tags in an approach that will be familiar YouTube users, while the Xbox 360 version allows players to download videos any study input commands.

Street Fighter IV launched this February, netting a 9.5 in our review and having played the game religiously since its release, we wish we'd rated it higher. The Championship Mode upgrade goes live on April 24.

I dont see the point. Online is filled with people who drop in games just so they dont lose their points. Its pretty sad. I only bother playing with friends.

most 75% players play online are normal players or newbie,70% play ken,ryu & akuma.they only care about rank player, they set time 30 or 60 with 1 round.

I really don't care much about this tournament update, I just want lobby support to play with my friends. Come on Capcom! You did it with HD Remix you can do it for SFIV!

I bought SFIV. It was a mistake. I played the game a ton for the first four days and haven't touched it since. It just feels like a revamped Super Turbo to me. SFIII: TS is where its at. That really brought the series to a new level.

If you were good at Super Turbo back then, you'll automatically be good in SFIV. I am a Third Strike player and I use the parry-system well, but when it comes to "basic" Street Fighter, IV is up there with all the old ones. In my opinion, I believe that Third Strike and IV are two different games, just like Alpha 1 and Super Turbo in terms of gameplay.

Some people can't handle that 4's not Third Strike. Never mind that 3rd Strike sold like ass and killed off the series for years and years, and nobody cared about the new characters at all.

Every Street Fighter should indicate a new generation which means a new cast (except for Ryu and a few other faces) and a new fighting system etc...

4 killed that trend.

I had 4 for about a month before I exchanged it at eb for COD:WoW. I think the game is very cookie cutter. I am or anyone from my team in no way am saying 4 sucks because it is not 3S. It sucks well because it sucks. Its not really all that close to ST like some people may think. Its a hybrid game it took what worked and what didn't from every game as every SF game does. It just went a little too far in that respect. I mean they basically spoon feed you everything you don't really need to know how to do much to be any good and that leaves to very boring matches believe me. I have competed in many a tourneys I can already tell you that this game is just not what it should be. If you want to play something 3d and is close to ST? Play EX 3 or +alpha. Good games. SF4 took a little from this game too(focus attacks).

Anyway i am actually enjoying hd remix. I am actually known to hate ST. Funny.
