I got portal 2 at Kmart today for $34.99 for ps3. Went to the flea market down the street and got a steel penny from WWII for $1.50, even though they're only worth 25-50 cents, I got it for neato factor. I also got a porcelain chicken pepper shaker, some cheap sunglasses, and a cast iron hand towel hanger for the guest bathroom.

I have this pre-ordered. It doesn't come out in the States till the 10th though. Hopefully the gameplay is solid and the story is as intriguing as the trailer makes it sound like it will be.

floppy disks... how nostalgic... games used to suck back then and it was a pain to get them to work on your machine.

I'm just going to get the collection set with the red dual shock controller.
I still have to beat the Sly cooper collection, I'm half way though the 2nd one.

I can't order from the US newegg, I have to get it from newegg canada... which still ships from the states.
I get my games when they're cheap most of the time, but I do have the first one on the PS2, I never opened it. Just didn't care to play it even tho I got it for some reason, it's weird.

The second one is pretty sweet, part three has some pretty amazing graphics. I still need to play Sly 3, I got platinum for the first two games. The second Sly is definitely my favorite so far. What I've played of 3 isn't very fun for me.
Also, I just got 3D Dot Heroes, I love supporting From Software. |

Why is that? Game plays exactly the same. In fact, I wouldn't even be able to tell them apart.
I played all 3 Gow's and really enjoyed this series. Definitely among the best in that genre, and each one is over before it gets boring. Only thing is when I first played Gow 3, during the opening level I was like 'holy fuck, this is the most awesome shit I've ever seen' because it really is that grandiose and immediately grabs your attention. ..only to sink like a brick when the game repeats the familiair repertoire of the preceding games. Don't get me wrong, it's still a very good game and it still has awesome moments(fight against Hades and such) but it just peaks way, way too early and is(perhaps logically so) unable to maintain that level of(and I hate to use the word) epicness. |
