I actually wanna get Guitar Hero World Tour. :/ But I hate that I'll have two different 'rock' games because I know exactly what'll happen:

A: Hey, let's play that one song!
B: Ok, that's on Guitar Hero World Tour, let me load that song...
A: That was fun! Let's play that other song!
B: Ok...that's on Rock Band 2....let me load that game...

and so on and so forth...

agreed ... i have RB now and will not be getting GH for that exact reason .. one set of drums is enough for me

You don't need to get new instruments. For the most part, RB2 instruments will work with GH:WT.

personally don't see those sales figures for the US in one month to be shit? how many more millions of units do they need to sell FFS?

as for sales figures with regards to games sold .. again is it that bad over all?? not sure it is TBH

last week for example in the other regions (not us / japan)

183K wiis sold and 527K bits of software sold (not inc wii sports)
142K 360s sold and 277K bits of software sold

only 40k more units sold .. yet x2 the amount of software. Yes there are like 17mill wii's and 10mill 360s in the none us/japan region .. so i guess taking that into consideration still, the game sold to a customer pure system ratio is prob nearly the same last week ..

like the games or not .. they clearly are selling and in big numbers .. just so happens you don't like what they are selling .. nor do it at the mo, but someone does somewhere .. unless Nin are buying there own stuff to trick everyone .. let behonest if MS or Sony would have known what would happen with the success of wii they would be doing exactly the samething and issuing the same one finger salute to self proclaimed 'real' gamers that nintendo did ..

sad thing is wouldn't surprise me if next gen both sony ans MS go down the wii route with waggle/wobble/wiggle/jiggle/motion controllers as standard aswell , and totally flood the 'casual' market leaving so called 'real' games in the even smaller minority .. then u will really have something to moan about ..

The top 10 software is an interesting split between "hardcore", "casual" titles, and E rated titles. Excluding Wii Play, which sells because it's the 2nd controller, the only "casual" experience is Wii Fit. Mario Kart has been a popular franchise since it's debut, Animal Crossing isn't casual just "E" - and COD, Gears, Left4Dead are the "hardcore" M rated titles.

What isn't selling in huge numbers anymore are those in-between titles that are not M rated FPS, or "E" rated titles that are not featuring franchise characters. Games like Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia, RPG's, traditional platformers, etc. The audience for those types of experiences seems to be decreasing. Ultimately, that will limit the funding that goes towards those types of games.

that's why I like rockband more, other than the song list to me is better, they let you install all their songs onto the HDD so there isn't any switching.

6/10 top 10 games are Wii games, except 5 of them are Nintendo games, Wii play shouldn't even count. Pimped console owners buy pimped games.

Why are the Wii numbers so low? Supply constrained? It had 2 mill in November too, so it should be higher than this.
