Every painting I've ever bought from Redd is a forgery so I have been staying away from him. Is there a way to tell if what he is selling is the original or a fake?

It's a risk. You will only find out it's a fake when you try to submit it at the museum.

I've noticed that Redd may use different kind of wording when trying to sell a fake. I could be wrong, but it seems to me like it's usually a fake when he sounds more enthusiastic or pushy about it.

I've been trying to read into how he tries to sell the paintings but he always seems just as pushy no matter how he talks about it.

Actually no. Wording doesn't mean anything, it is all random. He have like four or five sentences he uses when you check an item. These sentences are displayed at random. Try talking to him once, then exit his shop then come back later and check the same time, chances are he gonna say a different thing.

Also I think I know what you mean burb it is the "CRRRRRRRRAZY" word he sometime uses that gives you doubt. I studied that, and eventually found that it makes no difference. I tried buying a painting in almost all his wording and it was all random, some times was fake other was original. According to my knowledge, and I could be wrong, it has no effect.

How to get an Original painting is very simple. There are two criteria you need to put in mind before you can expect to get anything good.
Firstly, in the case if you have other players in town. If there are other players you need to give them a chance to buy paintings from time to time.
Secondly and must importantly, you need an appropriate fun shu and a variety of Lucky items in your house.

Animals tells you how to make an appropriate fung shu and in case any of you guys didn't write them down they are as follows:
West = Yellow
south = Green
East = Red
south west = yellow/green
South east = red/green
While for lucky items, they are usually obvious, such as lucky cat or four leaf clover and stuff like that.
Do that and you'll notice the difference!

If you still have problems just check my room in the happy room academy and try to copy it. You'll get the hang of it eventually.

In a serious note it is the last thing you get after paying your fund. It is worth a million bell. I repeat it is the last one. Paying fund would still be open and the town hall would still accept money. Do not pay any more after the windmill, or you'll waste a million bell like I did.

Also I got some more gyroids, this time they are mine!

Going to send them soon when I am not feeling lazy or better yet when I finish up all my work. It is final exam days after all.

I thought you wouldn't be able to play for three weeks? I recently got a spare silver net. A net is summer must important equipment. Was gonna send it to forum member Burb instead, but since you are around too I will send it to whomever asks first.

EDIT: Plant more flowers in your twona nd get those grass back. And fung Shu, your house needs fung shu!
