Sony shippped 30 millions PS2 worldwide! It really looks like the "growth" rate of PS2 is higher than the other two. It was only 8 millions in January and now it is already 11 millions?

Just wondering how many did Microsoft and Nintendo ship?

The PSx sold around 75 million units world wide(and is still selling). Looks like the PS2 might match the sales, at this rate.

...Check the MagicBox charts for the other systems. Too lazy to do it now.

What i really want to know right now is howcome PSX is still selling ,you can play psx games on your ps2 so how come people are still buying psx??..

The PSX is pretty cheap now. And some people might just be buying it as a collecters item or something. They're going to be worth something one day.

Collecters items huh??..well still i don't think that alot of people have the same plan !!
a time ago there was more psx sold than x-box !!
I'm still wondering why people are buying psx if you can play psx's games on ps2 !!! What's the world comming to ?

Maybe some people can can't aford the PS2 right now. Or they already bought another sytem, besides the PS2.

It's kinda weird to hear that people still don't own a ps2 ..i can live with, that some people out there have like a cube or x-box instead of the ps2
But it's just weird that people are still buying it like it's a new console ..well anyway whatever happend SONY is verry happy right now !!!

So am i with my PS2 ..thanks SONY for the great times .((don't worry you two NINTENDO,and SEGA))

And don't forget the new model for the PSOne that came out. Thats probably helping sales also. It also came out with a LCD screen, so you can play it on the road. And it's more portable now.

Sony has successfully turned PSone to a kids machine, I noticed many parents are choosing PSone for their kids in local game shops, because there are a lot of cheap and educational games available for the system.

Well what Iori said is true ...
so maybe that's one reason why the psone is still selling well !!And now it's portiable so that's another good reason!!!It's great to hear that because alot of people tought that sony will totaly abandon the PSX and that didn't really happend they are still making things for the PSX
(I don't know if sony itself) but i'm sure there's some other companies out there that's devolping games for the psx (not as many as it used to be )
but i think it's great to hear that !!!!

Sony is making one more game (that I know of) called C-12:Final Resistance. It was already released in Europe, but it's just coming to the US now

The Italion Job also just came out(it was out in Europe for a while). It's a game based on the movie by the same name, and is published by Rockstar.

Theres also that one game by Bandai in Japan. It's in the top 5, so thats helping the sale also.

Maybe i'm wrong but what we have here is a big difference between Sony and Nintendo right ??
I mean when the n64 came out you coulda as well throw your SNES away !!But Sony is still doing things for the psx ..wich probably explain the huge sales numbers... right ??..
