Using the Wiimote over the GC controller seems less fun....

...so what's the damn point? Just release a RE0(GC), RE Remake(GC), and RE4 (Wii) for $50 and call it a damn day.

Actually if you make them make TWO versions of the game with TWO releases for TWO different consoles, you are hurting both Nintendo AND Capcom. You better buy 2 copies of RE0(Wii) Paper, just to make up for the loss they are taking on your apparent lack of support. Better be safe, buy three.

If they re-released 2, 3 and CV as a package with updated graphics on the Wii I'd buy that.

how will this work?

sure it worked with the 3D world of RE4 - but RE0 is pre-rendered - this is going to be like a point and click now, instead of a 3D action game...

and I remember there were enemies that weren't on screen - how the hell do you point and shoot them?

boo... capcom, boo...

why not use the money, dev teams and time for a new IP? Or making sure LP was a better port to the PS3... -_-"

Waste of time. I don't see how this game would benefit from using the Wii-mote very much.

Hey a question:

With game companies, why do they always port games to newer systems, especially when these newer systems have backwards compatibility? (In other cases, I could see why) Wouldn't it be easier to just re-release it, maybe giving it different packaging with a few tiny extras and bug fixes?

To attempt to answer my own question, it probably has to do with the game retailers, that get rid of older system titles to conserve self space... but still that's not a very good excuse.

Hell, they could put it in a Wii case... still call it a Gamecube game. Guess that would confuse the stupids too much.

Anyway, I really doubt anyone wants this game. How well did the original sell?

I agree with justin. Why not do a boxed set? Anyone who would want this game is probably a collector or RE fan anyway...

I mean without having to port the programming or add Wii controls. Seems like a waste of time.
At any rate, why not bundle it with RE Chronicles and sell it for cheap.

Aren't they selling it on a budget price and like the cheapest possible for a Wii/NGC game? I if that was the case then I don't see anything wrong with them want to put some effort on the rerelase. I mean they aren't charging any extras for it anyway.

To be fair, lets wait and see how this differs from the GC version. RE4 Wii was MUCH appreciated. Nobody knows anything about RE0Wii yet.

It saves most of its best for next gen consoles, like 360 and PS3, Capcom also knows people will still buy RE0, and will profit, which is what the Wii is designed for, profit for everyone.
