I think the guy's work is more realistic and accurate than the girl's. They are both awesome. Both seem to love drawing celebrities. I'd much rather see drawings of explosions and massive violence, myself.

I call bullshit on the 14 year old. She's an obvious attention whore since she makes it a point to tell you she's 14. I dont think those drawings are hers. She made her profile in 2004, she'd have been 11. She entered some art when she was 12 that had the same detail and shading as the newer stuff while sounding almost exactly the same in her comments. No way would she able to draw that good and NOT be featured in magazines or something as a prodigee. Full of shit attention whore. She wants to prove she can draw like that she can record herself drawing. Shouldnt be a problem for an attention whore.

Here's one of the earliest pieces in her gallery:



She was probably about 11 when she did that. This image is not refined in any way, besides the slight blending on the face. Even my drawing skills were near that level at that age, so there is no reason to believe that it is impossible for an 11-year-old to do this. The difference between she and I is that she probably practiced like mad to improve her skills, and I was a lazy bum and did not.

Look at the quality of her work several months later:



This image is also not very refined, but there is some definite improvement in the blending on the face, undoubtedly from tons of practice.

I won't clutter up this thread with more pictures, but from looking in her gallery, it's obvious that she has made gradual improvements over time, until she reached the level she is at now. She was probably fortunate enough to receive some proper instruction at a young age that helped to set her on the right path, artistically.

I'm sure that this girl has worked very hard to get to where she is, and it isn't nice at all for you to assume she's a fake. I don't see how this is any different from the children who learn how to play the piano when they're very young, and have pretty much mastered it by their early teen years.

If she ever stumbles across this thread (and as I'm an example of, there is always a possibility of that happening), I really hope that your poor attitude won't discourage her. It's so rare to find young, talented artists that aren't drawing stupid anime crap and other nonsense these days, that it is a terrible shame to discourage the ones who are trying their hardest to truly study art. I know that drawing celebrities isn't the greatest thing in the world, but they do make very good references for portraits. Hopefully, she will create more original work as time goes on.

As long as she keeps it up at the rate she's going now, I'm sure that, some day, this girl is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the art world. If she has accomplished this much at such a young age, she is surely destined for greatness. I definitely admire her.

An attention whore doesn't have to lie to get attention if they actually have talent. And if those drawings were someone else's, don't you think someone would have noticed in the past 3 years?
