Death Knight can be played by completing a quest at lvl 80. It will "unlock" the ability to roll a death knight that with start at around lvl 50 with abilitys and whatnot.


Im looking forward to this, the Death Knight realy looks like it may be the class I have been waiting for. A 2 handed sword weilding, plate wearing, shadow/frost spell casting tank. Awsome.

why only one hero class though? so if you wanna be a hero, your only choice is the dark knight. I must say, Blizzard is now trying to bust out their guns after having Burning Crusade taking over 2 years to come out after WoW released. Now they're competing with the MMO's bound for incoming release

Well, this removes all motivation to gear up your character in TBC...

I didnt want an expansion this soon, but guess it gives me the oportunity to change mains lol.

This is why its best to read up before talking All Hero classes will come in time. They will likely be added in patches I would assume. Also they always intended to release 1 expansion pack per year after BC. They have said that long before BC ever came out.

How can they expand on future expansion packs if this one basically revolves around 'the lich king'. Where frozen throne last left off unless they want WarCraft 4 to be a completely new storyline.

TBC was announced very early and came out over a year later :p

And you wont believe this but some people in BT/HYjall (tier 6) still use trinkets from BWL (tier 2).

(reju gem, DFT and Styleen, Neffy's tears)

But it's bound to happen anyways that's MMORPG, progressions which includes gears as a way to progress. And for a game that is heavily focused on gears it really suits WoW. Doesn't mean you need to like it :p

yeah I did read on it. But in time their coming. When you first release something like that, usually variety is good

im saying the can, but its just the issues of expanding on future expansions like some other people have said there will be. -_-

But if they launched with all these new hero classes the game would be broken. There would be no one playing standard classes at all for months and months. I think its good to keep it limited, this way people will still have to play there non hero toons for raids/groups atleast for a little while. Then the hero classes will have time to mix and mingle a bit.
