Hopefully it is better than the shit RPGs GPG have made so far. If Sega can get GPG to churn out a quality RPG, *that* would be impressive.

Hmmm I'll watch and see how this one goes. Gas Games did wonderful with SupCom I think but a RPG is pretty different from a RTS.

Alien RPGs?? To turn out like Mass Effect, a pseudo-RPG, which will be more of a shooter? No thanks. KotOR 1&2 were nice as they featured a vast array of long range and melee weapons, but they were an outstanding exception. I only have japanese studios in Sci-fi RPGs as they keep the RPG feel.

JRPGs are all the same no matter what the time period is.

If you know the sort of rpgs Obsidian makes you will know it WONT be an fps style game. It'll be turn based style.

Apart from KotOR 2 did Obsidian ever made a sci-fi RPG before? I don t know really. If they do make one in the near future then I hope they don t take Bioware s road (not that I dislike Bioware, its their current title Mass Effect that doesn t ring a bell to me, even though it has tons of text which is definitely good, unless its not crap, but Bioware always manages making good stories).

They've done plenty of excellent rpgs in the past. Setting is no problem for them as they've proven it.

Obsidian used to be Black Isle, They made Fall Out 1,2.
As Obsidian they have only made Knights of the old Rrepublic 2 and NeverWinter Knights 2.
