They're large so just go to the link. Really cant wait for this to come out. Mind you if its nasty on performance I'll just wait till I upgrade to a dx10 setup and put it in the list along with Crysis and Stalker.

Another? They've been making this one for about 2 years. Its NOT new. I love how people seem to think theres dozens of RTS games. Someone go find a list of RTS games released this year.

You asked for a list and the man brought you a list. Lets face it. RTS is right up there with FPS. There is 5 released every year on the PC.

LMAO....

Oh man, I didn't know Gary Grisby put out a new game. Might have to check that out. Grisby is like the grandfather of strategy wargames, going all the way back to SSI and the glory days of C-64/Apple II/Atari 8-bit and PC/PCjr.

Looked into Gary Grisby's World at War and to set the record strait, it's a turn based wargame, not RTS.

IGN groups them all as strategy and I'm too lazy to separate the TBS from the RTS.

Thats like saying MMORPGS are the same as normal rpgs. I'm sure alot of people see titles like that and think the PC is nothing but rts games. Theres MANY titles released each month unlike the the consoles, because theres far more independant developers out here for it. So its no surprise to see a large amount of any genre on it.

That s why the majority suck, because many independent developpers suck in comparison to what gamers expect. No wonder these studios don t even think of buying a console license, they d be obliterated. It s true that if you compare the amount of titles released each month for pc is higher than a specifical console/handheld, however if you make a comparison between pc/mac/linux and ps2/ps3/psp/wii/ds/xbox360 then the latter have more titles per month, and counting the multiplatforms only once.
TBS and RTS have fundamental differences, its no good in putting them in the same bag. I personally enjoy TBS games, but grew tired and sick of RTS games.

I'm also a huge fan of the TBS genre. Sadly the consoles have butchered a few of those and it just kills me. As for the independent studios, they dont go on console for 2 reasons. 1 being they dont have the money to advertise and hype their game to make it seem better then it really is. And the other point is console gamers do NOT like RTS/TBS games that arent made in japan. Lord knows why.

Ofcourse you need to realise that more titles means more good games from the pile. I mean look at the consoles with their action games. They have zillions of them and really only a handful are decent. RPGs? Majority are shocking. etcetc. No different to PCs.

Yeah there are many consoles action games and many of them are bad, apparently because they are the most indicative and mainstream genre of the consoles, so all of those who have enough to spend make a regular action game and advertise it, as they its going to sell decently. I don t agree with RPGs, but I m not going into detail as we could make a whole topic about it. I don t recall many RTS or even TBS games for consoles and the few that made it must have been very difficult to control. Come on, its impossible to play decently any of these games on consoles and no one would bother as they know that those on pc are much more user-friendly . Besides japanese devs make SRPGs and strategy games that don t have much in common with RTS/TBS.

Anyway, World in Conflict is going to be published by Sierra right? Brings me back good memories of Lords of the Realm. I hope they publish a good medieval strategy game since they are back on their feet now.
