The 'Duke was revolutionary for its time, weren't like all the weapons that were in Half Life like those mines that you stick on the wall originally created by Duke Nukem 3D? It was also controversial, poking fun at everything even itself "I aint no quake", you could fly with your jetpack in the game, awesome level design, and superb multiplayer, there was nothing better like placing a holo-duke somewhere and seeing the second player shooting it for like 2 minutes, while sneak behind him and give him a kickin in the ass

My only problem was the 2D perspective, it made me dizzy, everything just looked distorted when you use mouse look.

it's a reason why they called it "Forever."

Can the Console versions like those 3rd person action games for the N64 consider to be sequels to Duke 3D?

I've come to the conclusion that the most good that can be derived from this game is if it stays in development indefinitely.

That way - everyone involved in the games development industry now and in the future will always have a real-life example of what happens when you've got a team with crappy project management skills and which can't sort its own priorities properly.
