If they want to know what country your from so badly they should just make you tell them what country your in when you create your in game account. Either that or just use the servers you play on as a way to figure it out along with the ip of the person. Accomplishes the regional part without the invasion of privacy.

They can probably just set up a regional option for servers to register under so they can have the ads based on the region which the server is registered.

The whole point is it pointless to include spyware in a game when all the reasons given are just total bs.

My idiot brother bought it.... EXACT SAME GAME EXACT SAME GAME! I played it, holy crap, I felt like I was just playing BF2 again but with walking tanks.

I thought the tanks in the future "float". And that we have big, slow moving mech that are incredibly easy to spot and shot at to be the big guns.

It looked good at first, but as my friends were doing the beta testing they said it sucked. Thats when I decided I wasn't going to waste money on it.

Funny enough I heard all the same things a couple weeks ago when playing BF2. When I was in a squad we started to talk about BF2142. The 4-5 guys who said they tried it didn't like it and uninstalled the program. They said essentially its just another BF: Vietnam. A re-skinned BF2 with a slightly improved ranking system.
