people are so quick to defend them but why, they dont care about you, they care about money, the reason why the wii is so cheap is because the production cost is even cheaper, they wanna make a profit right off the launch, not because they wanna save you money

Well, personally I think you just enjoy stirring dry **** to make it stink again. But that's only my opinion.

And yes, Nintendo cares. They have to care to make money. I might have even gone with the second option up there if it wasn't obviously influenced by what seems to be a personal opinion.

Everyone wanted another Mario 64 game, instead we got Luigi's Mansion and Mario Sunshine, 2 gimmicky that can't even compare to the original.

Everyone wanted the Zelda game from SpaceWorld 2000, instead we got a cell shaded one (its still a great game, but angered many fans who then refused to play it, coz they are hardcore)

The gamecube was a great system, but it lacked mature titles, and by the end of its life cycle it was mostly a kiddie console, I was hoping the wii would change this, but nope its still the same direction, more mario party and mario soccer type games.

The name wii, what was wrong with Revolution? What was wrong with the Revmote?

Yes, the gamecubes online play sucked ass, the Network Adapter was a scam, Mario Kart online? nooooooo... Metroid Prime 2 Online? No way its too hard..... Pay a monthly fee to play a Phantasy Star Card game? :kill:

The irony of this thread is just beautiful.

The real answer to this question is the option that doesn't exist where Nintendo love money and yet try to create great games with the intent of making me happy. Pretty much like any other console manufacturer or game publisher.

Id say they care about money more then the consumer, since they finally realized they get a ton of cash from die-hard fanboys.

This change in my opinion of the company began when I met my 2 new roomates, each who have 7 DS between the two. Ontop of that, they are both intent of buying Wiis on laucnh, mainly to play TP, and have both admitted about planning to buy a second wii when the new colors ship.

When I confront them about the price of the console, or anything else I find wrong with it, they get turbo defensive and bring up random points to try and throw me argument out the window, much like the fans of Nintendo here. Apparently they would pay $100 for Wii sports when I was trying to make the claim that as a tech demo it is worth $20 at most...

To add more to the fire, one had his girfriend back home drive 150 miles to in search of a Wii reserve, so that she can buy it for him and mail it over-night esentially maing the system cost somewhere closer to $350...
