I think its more to do that PSO was supposedly great but anyone who had played a normal MMO found it quite lacking and dull as hell. So untill PSU proves that its 10 steps above, it'll be ignored. We'll see how it goes now that its finally out.

I just answered the obvious! And you become a real gamer when you can look at a game first and company label second. I do it often! Therefore have no problem with obliterating some of Konami's titles.

Chill I was joking!

I do that as well.. but Sometimes you have to look at the company label,
NamcoBandai, Activison and others very often mean bad.

mmorpg's can do permanent damage to your health and sanity! I swear they should come with warning labels.

On the contrary, there are those of us who absolutly loved PSO because was exactly what a "normal MMO" wasnt.

PSO might not have had the Massiveness, Customization, Levels/World that other MMO's had, but it more than made up for it in the one catagory that truly matters. Gameplay. And even for as simple and primitive as the 3 hit combo combat was, it was still leauges funner than the combat system of every other MMORPG out there: HOTKEY>POINT>CTRL>CLICK>WATCHFIGHT>REPEAT

Seraph, you werent wanting to play an mmorpg. You were wanting an action game you could team up with people online. Do NOT confuse the two. One has infinite depth. The other has...well...4 different buttons you can string together for 'combo attacks'. You wanted an action game. Not MMO.

You also forget the point/clikc/watch also involved about a dozen hotkeys with a dozen or so special attacks/moves/skills that you used in combat and normal moments. A little more thinking and memorization was involved then 3 hit combo. Gameplay? More like simplistic.

The only thing that keeps PSU from being a MMORPG is the lack of Massive (only 6 players at once and no huge world).

Other than that though, it is Multiplayer, Online, and an RPG. I cant help it if Sega decided to inject some action elements to improve apon the stale click-and-watch fest that is general RPG's.

I'm not sure what your talking about with "infinate depth" as like I said, PSU is as much RPG as any of the other games, its just not massive.
