Feedback Please

Note: Turn off Loop and hit refresh when the intro fully loads up. Sorry about the pictures , i mean image size is a little bit out of place. Anyway, this is my intro page on my website to my profile/biography. I just have to redone the pictures, but everything else is set up right. |

It doesn't do anything other than blink some text and play some choral music. The End.

Filelodge is really annoying and half the time the site doesn't even work (And when it does it loads incredibly slow). You might wanna try imageshack. Not many people know you can upload .swf files to that.
http://imageshack.us/ Also, since it seems to take awhile to load, you might want to set up a preloader. http://www.smartwebby.com/Flash/Flas..._preloader.asp The thing is, something like this shouldn't need a preloader.. it seems to be either looping symbols inside of the swf, or that the swf itself just loops. That shouldn't take up as much as space as it did in relation to it's load time. So I'm assuming the hefty load time was just filelodge being laggy. There is a way to make it so that it automatically stops looping once it's finished playing. Click a keyframe in the last key of the flash. It doesn't matter which layer as long as it's the LAST column Go to the Actions panel (Blue circle) and enter in the actionscript (Green circle). A little 'alpha' symbol should appear on that frame (Red circle). So long as you have the audio file that's playing in the background set to 'Start' (Not Stream, Event also works if this is going to be the only audio on the swf) it should end up fine. If you have any other problems post them in the thread. P.S. I still hate you.

PaladinAngelo, thanks for the information, but imageshack limit is too low for me. I fixed the file and just uploaded the file to filelodge, it only takes a min or too for the file to load up.
I just needed a short intro to my profile when people visit that section to my site. Peace
