The Notting Hill Carnival
Anyone going this year? I can?t family engagement
 For those who have no idea what it is. It's basically Europe?s largest street party. People come from all over the world for this event and it means a lot to London. It was started way back in 1964 by the Afro Caribbean Community. In the last few years, the whole of London have supported this event. You can now find sections of every single community in the carnival. Jamaican, Nigerian, Spanish, Polish, Brazilian & Chinese (too many to list). There's tons of entertainment, awe inspiring costumes, a huge 3 mile parade, Music and food from around the world. It starts on Sunday 27 and ends Monday 28 August 2006 If you are going, remember Sunday is the kid?s day and Monday is Teens & Adults.    Link

As you believe only black people turn up to the event? You do know why it was started in the first place right?
