I've been waiting for an outland sale. Will check out the rest as well to see what I think is worth having. Wish this sale was on ps3 instead though. I got a shit load of HD space on ps3 but not so much on 360.

Moon Diver is the spiritual successor to Strider, with added character-leveling and 4-player co-op. Definitely worth a shot if you liked Strider.

It's pretty crap though... Better off to revisit Strider or Osman/Cannon Dancer.

Now the question is did Isuke lost his fine touch or did he fail because he was trying to much to adapt to what seem to be todays standards for side scrollers (which is largely blamed on the success off Symphony of the Night).

It plays 20x times slower, stage design is pretty much non-existent (and misses the dynamic that makes Strider/Osman that brilliant. Those games are one big rollercoaster ride, while moon diver feels like a ride in a carrousel. It such a neutered experience in comparisom to Isuke's previous similar titles), enemies feel like cannon fodder for your lvl-ing system.

Your better off getting Hard Corps: Uprising with DLC character Sayuri (as she is a sword user, which changes the gameplay to something more similar in vein to Strider or Ninja Gaiden).

I doubt that. You haven't heard of Bionic Commando Rearmed or Yar's Revenge? But seriously, 4/5 of those are good-great games. Oh, but they're on the 360. Now I remember why you're not checking them out.

I've heard of Bionic Commando Rearmed, but not part 2. There are a lot of Bionic Commando games out there these days and I hear decent things about one of them and awful things about the other. Not sure which is which, don't really care. Yar's Revenge is a 2600 game from what I recall. Screw that. I wouldn't get any of these on PS3, either.

First off, I can't imagine why you would dislike Bionic Commando Rearmed. The first one is an utterly fantastic remake. And if for some reason you don't like how the character can't jump, why they added that in the sequel.

But I seem to recall you just played through Strider again for the millionth time. You're seriously not interested in Moon Diver, a game made by the same guy that's extremely similar to it? Not that it's being hailed as an all-time classic, but I would think that pedigree would at least warrant checking it out.

Just looked that one up. I got enough of that game when it was called Ikaruga (which I don't go apeshit over like most people tend to).
