Certainy got average reviews. But there's plenty of people buying it, past Mario Party games sells a lot because of its mutliplayer.

I completely agree! Mario Party 12&3 had brilliant multiplayer as well as single player games... I've also built a GS distrust over the past 6 months!!

Mario Party 4 is just the same thing as always, this time with slighty better graphics and new minigames, nothing to die for if you ask me. IGN gave it a 6.9 score, fair enough though.

It's probably no more of a flop than the previous Mario Party games were, which received similarily average reviews. Just more of the same, since it's not like they can drastically change a minigame-based party game.

This game is all about fun!!! Of course its like the old mario party but with new mini-games, boards, better graphics, and music. well, lets see if GTA4
will get a 7.2, because it's just like GTA3. well i dont think so. I never liked gamespot's reviews. |

Read the review- they loved it, it's just that it's more of the same. While not a bad thing, it's not new and still isn't really fun if you've got no friends.
Other than that though.. it's once again an absolute blast.

I'm sad because 2 of the 3 people I used to play Mario Party 1 & 2 with are gone. Conflicting schedules. I will still buy this game and I know it will be VERY similar to the previous 3 games but that's fine by me because I loved those games.

Mario Party games review scores have always suffered due to the single player mode and on occassion because the number of mini-games has fallen as the series has continued. However, the game is going to be exactly as you imagine it will be so no review is needed. Either you know you want it or you know you don't....I do.

This is the perfect example of a game that would rock online.
Does anyone feel that Nintendo is not pushing the hardware enough? Between this and Pokemon Advance, it seems like they are not interested in really exploring the limits of new hardware on every game, only a selected few (Kirby for GBA, Metroid for GC). |

Mario Party 4 definately looks fun. I'll get this game when i have enough money, hehe.

in this, i can understand nintendo's reluctance to online gaming. ATM it's just not mainstream enough, and more importantly, not financially feasible. While i commend Microsofts effort with their 'xbox live' kit (it looks very good imo), who actually thinks MS is going to profit from it? The market has changed, and i'm afraid its going to to make more that just 'x' number of hardcore gamers supporting online gaming. all imo though.
