Xbox BC not a priority, says Moore.

If original Xbox games are to be made available over the Xbox Live service, how many of you would be willing to buy them (again)?

Looks like some of those 360 promises are doing a 180 alright.

The thing is, if no one is actually using the b/c of the console, why keep pursuing it? It would be pretty stupid on their part to keep investing resources into a feature that the Xbox360 customers are rejecting. Realistically, the Xbox catalogue is not full of timeless classics that stand the test of time.

Joystiq comments on whether or not people would re-buy the same games on XBL is pretty off the mark. Everyone who has owned a Nintendo system has re-bought the same games (SNES to GBA SP ports as an example), and the whole concept of a virtual console is to re-sell older gen games for the new systems.

I use that feature quite a bit and i'm still waiting to use that feature on several of my games. Besides when you see those games in HD it's hard to go back.

Besides, that's BS on no one wanting to use it... sony has managed to have that feature and I know tons of folks that use there PS2 to play PS1 games....

I would use it.

I plan on using the Wii's gamecube compatability alot. I'm usually always up for a game of Ikaruga or Megaman X Collection.

The thing is though that the 360's b/c is based upon someone having XBL in the first place and that's pretty explicity clear. Therefore, MS can tell pretty easily how many of their customers are actually interested in b/c. Cleary, the number must be pretty small for MS to limit the number of titles that are b/c at this point. Some people may get left out of the loop, but they are interested in supporting what the majority of their customers want. Also, for the non-XBL 360 owners, they clearly bought the system and have chosen are not interested in b/c. It may just be that with the used games for sale, the need for b/c has really stopped as people are unloading their old games to trade up.

You don't need it, its just the easiest way to get the BC updates.
You can order the update disc or burn your own.

And yeah, Moore, maybe "enough is enough" but you guys arn't even close yet.

Atleast we can all play "great" games like Barbie's Horse Adventure and Shamu's Deep Sea Adventures, right? Right?

The big three always screw you over in some way or other. The fun part is waiting to see what exactly they plan to screw you with, and if they can top the other guys. Is your anus wide enough to accept this screwing? That depends on how much you were looking forward to the promised feature. For those who really wanted backwards compatability for their 360, its basically a virgin christmas for them. Or should I say...a de-virginizing experience.

A company gets bashed regardless who it is if they deserve it. Sony just happens to deserve it more than anyone else because of their arrogance and the way they talk down on people like they're slaves to them (PS3 is better than a PC, $599 pricepoint, a billion people will buy it if no games ever came out for it etc....)
