Hey, no need to get angry about the facts. Truth is that PC people are much more inclined to play watered down fan-made games than the console crowd. I don't see anything wrong with that, PC people are just obviously less happy about their games so they have to get their fix from elsewhere.

Unfortunately nin, no amount of modding would turn wind waker or mario sunshine into a good game.... I just went there.

And no amount of modding would make Half Life 2 into a finished game or Diablo 2 tolerable and non-boring.

Oh yes, I went there.

I only said that to get more free drinks. And as you can see from the pic, I had plenty coming my way! Though my mind is fuzzy with certain memories involving mushrooms and that plunger...

Right, I'm sure that PC games are modded for that very reason. Nothing to do with the fact that PCs, and in turn PC games, are open for modding where as console games arn't. Sure there are plenty of "watered down fan-made games", but that's because literally anybody willing to put in the time and effort can put a mod together. I'm sure if Nintendo added a "create-a-dungeon" feature to Zelda that allowed you to put custom maps out for others to play we wouldn't hear you complaining.

Modding exists because we can in the PC world. Calling it dissatisfaction is :kill: BS, it's merely taking a older game and making it new again. With the hardware they have now, it's almost inexcusable that the option doesn't exist to you in the console world [I know it exists it's just not as open and prominate. Then add the fact that it is heavily moderated]. Although it seems the majority of you rather just suck at corporate tit like fanboy fiends. If you never question you will never receive a answer nor a fix. [/soapbox]

Hey, you oversensitive sheep, I am not complaining and I don't see anything bad about modding. I'm just saying if PC crowd (I play PC games too, by the way. Sometimes more than consoles, in case you people haven't noticed) are obviously not totally happy with their games or else they wouldn't bother with mods.

Silly nin as always! You dont see the purpose in modding. Take Freespace2 for example. Brilliant game, good scores everywhere, sold very well, everyone who had it liked it. People went out and made mods for it because they had the ability. One mod let you change all the ships into Macross ones. Freelancer, another game that was very popular and enjoyed, people went out and made the universe for exploring about 40 times larger and added in a stack full of new ships and weapons. Its usually what people use as REPLAYABILITY. On the consoles you have simple unlockables, like say pictures or something retarded. You can replay a PC game and have about a zillion more content, make it feel almost like a new game.

The other mods, above, are just games people created with the same engine. Nothing to do with being unhappy about the game. They just went made a whole new different game cause they could. I plan to make a mod of Mario, where I can set him on fire.

For there to be a mod of a Mario game, it would mean someone would think they need improving.

Impossible.

Actually, a mod in the console world is considered a sequel that you pay full price for!
