While I think RTS games in general are garbage, this looks sweet.

A new Total War game. Can't say I've ever considered the series to have "brutal" battles, though. |

Considering ever Total war game has been vastly over-rated and lacking compared to other RTS games out at the time, Its safe to say I will pash on this one.

Now that looks extremely yummy. I must admit Rome was a huge let down for myself personally. That game had alot of problems that should of been fixed. Like the unrealistic rebels element that kicked you out of your city instantly without you being able to do stuff all about it. That almost made me uninstall the game twice. So far Shogun is still the best of the series, and oneof the best games ever.

Didn't they patch those problems in Rome, or someone mod them?

Total War Rocks, Rome total war was cool I liked the hole new over world map
that was the best addition. Barberian invasion looks really awesome too. There doing a Barberian + Rome 2 in 1 pack Which I will probably Pick up and trade in my Rome only game. ShoGun was great fun but It was a bit to easy IMO. (Sending the assassins in was awesome.) As I really like Knights and stuff.. Medieval total war was my favorite, So this new Total war being 'Medieval 2' Is great news for me. Quote:

I wouldnt bother with Barbarian. Its honestly more of the same. The exact same map with a few extra units and factions. I pretty much uninstalled it after realising it wasnt anything special. Definately a must for people who didnt play Rome though.

Look like they raised up the polygon for TW series. I personally like Shogun and Medievil TW. Rome was crap!

Rome rocked. Sure, the rebellion thing sucked. They should have made it possible to start exterminating that scum before they had a chance to rebel or something, but it was pretty much the only big flaw. Otherwise it was awesome and much better than Shogun.

Nah only Shogun was a game worth playing.
Midievil sucked, Rome was worse. If the trend continues, this should be the worst yet.

Mistatee, you talk nonsence.
I agree with Ninnie, Rome did rock Medieval was my favorite though Romans were never that great but Rome as a game was far better then the other 2. The over world was cooler and the battles were much much more impressive. It was more tactical to where as in Shogun you could just build massive armys and move them all at once from one province to another WAY TO EASY!. With the gameplay of Rome TW and the coolness of Knights and Medieval TW This game will deffinitly be the coolest in the series.

Romans were never that great? They took over most of Europe at one stage and were the most fearsome army you could come across. I prefered MEdieval to Rome as a game though, and Shogun was still the best because of what it did. The new ones just added some new units and made the map with the sections of land larger and more numerous. No big changes. To me Medieval 2 might be a far larger step. Need to wait and see. I'll still play it either way though.

Maybe he meant that the Romans never appealed to him?
Of course he would still be wrong, since the Romans were fucking awesome. |
