DOA4 Delayed in Japan

AH - I wanted to be able to walk around to stores to laugh at the Xbox launch....but I'll be at Universal Studios Japan that day

Could be a manufacutring issue, a certification issue (takes 10-14 days), last minute bugs, any number of things really.

The launch rests on Ridge Racer 6 for Japan. I'm surprised they couldn't put Kameo in there instead of PD0, or Sega's Condemned.

A launch of just six titles is disastrous. It makes me wonder why EA and the other US developers weren't willing to prepare for the international launch.

I expect the launch to flop big-time now that the line-up is even worst than the US launch line-up.

The EA titles are extremely western, and very few of their titles do much business over there. The launch software is once again very much tailored to the N. America and Europe. MS can only hope that DOA4 is on fire over there on Dec. 17 and that can carry the console for a bit until the more Japanese-centric titles start to come in.. That, or XBL and the Live Arcade launch with massively appealing titles.

If it was my decision, I would have launched the Xbox360 in arcades with RR6 and DOA4 as arcade games just to expose the titles to the public.

Well better to sell less than selling some... Wonder how many they are planning to sell in Japan anyway? It would suck with all the JPN region X360's collecting dust heh.

They only reason they didn't was probably because of the enormous amount of (very good) voice acting in the game. It's wierd when localization works the other way.
