Imageready is for animating GIFs. Photoshop is for still images. Photoshop kicks its ass unless you want to make animated gifs that annoy people.

Are there any fast, small, feature-rich image editors besides the classic Paint Shop Pro 6.0? Don't want to use these beefy graphic apps like PhotoShop and Corel Photo Paint.

I decided to try my hand at the forum logo this year. I also went for a graffiti style piece this time, and it doesn't have any game characters so it wont get out of date so quickly. I hope you like it

O-ho, Mr. "I designed the current banner" enters the fray
Well, I like that you're thinking like me and trying to make something that's a bit out of the ordinary. It's a bit pink, though..it could use more colors, IMO. |

I really like that. Can you make something not in pink though?

Hey Phire I really like that one, especially the MB logo. The pink really hurts my eyes, though. Also in general I think the forum banner should be less tall (this goes for all the forum banners submitted, even mine if I have submited one yet).

I will try to change the colorscheme on the background. Pink helps graffiti stand out in a crowd thats why I went for it. As for the height size, I was just following the rules in the post that said it should be 208 pixels high.

![]() The purple one above that is great as well! As for the height there really is no rule (Admin updated the rules for that, check his post in the announcements forum). I am just thinking that the graphic on top of the forum page doesn't need to be as tall as the existing one is now, kind of pushes the rest of the page down. You will not win because eventually I will enter. Wait. Maybe I already did enter.
Anyway I definitely like the PNG format because it is smaller and does not have compression artifacts like JPG does. How do you shrink your PNGs so much? Is it just because of the lack of overall fine detail? My PNGs are usually 200KB. |

Yeah it's because I am using alot of flat colors and not alot of shades so the PNG format works well for it.

That program you used to make the spinny logo. I think I used to have that. I forget what it is called, though. It's on the PC.
