I hate WMVs and their buffering problems. I wish they could have made the WMV format better.

Yeah I know, but not all formats have buffering problems. WMV likes to freeze twoards the end (maybe about %10 or %15 percent remaining) and never continue. At least for me.

I like quicktime while viewing online, no buffering, it just loads and it shows how much is loaded

that never happens to me... it just loads for a few second at the start and that's it.
quicktime is ok but I don't like the fact that you can't make it full screen, btw WMV shows you how much is loaded too (in full screen depending on the site)

I think it is because I am using a Mac and you are using a PC. Quicktime plays full screen no problem, even on my PC. Another thing I have noticed about every single WMV file I have ever seen is the horrible audio. It all sounds like an MP3 compressed at 48kbps, with slurring of the high frequencies all over the place. Why would this be? Does the WMV format attract those who do not know how to encode?

I have the same problem. Which really REALLY bugs me on the random video thread. What I think I'll do is DL WMV Player Its got a demo to it so maybe if it works, I'll consider it for a purchase.
