Good RPG titles

Can someone give some good PS2 RPG titles?
I'm currently playing Disagaea, and would like to increase my RPG games for the PS2 .

If you have a decent internet connection, download the fan-made Xenosaga episodes. ITs basically all the ingame cutscenes, all the story, none of the shoddy gameplay. It will save you countless hours of torment.

For some oldschool fun you could try the tales series. I hear they arent all too bad. And lets not forget Front Mission 4, if you are into the whole SRPG thing.

Technically he'll still experience that by simply watching the cut scenes by themselves won't he?

FFX sucks dont get it. It has some whiny main char and its as short as Ulf's attention span. The Blitzball is the only good thing about the game and thats the only good thing.

Shadow Hearts 1 and 2. Dont even bother turning your system on if you dont plan to play these two games because they are brilliant and just brilliant and brilliant aswell. Suikoden 3 you should play if you played suikoden 1 and 2, and ONLY if you like ALOT of story and character development in your rpgs. Alot of people found it boring. Not enough killkill without reasons I think. To be honest theres not really that many great rpgs on the ps2. I could mention probably 5 worth playing.

FFX-2....wtf?!

try Shadow Hearts 1 and 2, plus Shin Megami Tensei: nocturne all very good dark RPG's. Also Star Ocean 3, Wild Arms 3 and the .hack series is worth checking out.

Bleah to star ocean 3. Just recently finished it and I'm disgusted to it after comparing to the brilliant star ocean 2. The new one was good for about 25hours or so. But their attraction to LONG multiple FILLER dungeons, plus making you walk all the way back out once you finish the dungeon instead of porting you to the next story scene, got on my nerves. Was not happy with the ending. Was not happy with the RETARDED friend AI. Was not happy with the second half of the game. Only saving grace that game has is BRILLIANT music. Save yourself the hassle and just get the soundtrack.

Hmmmm not sure if X-Men Legends is considered as a RPG but it does have a level up system. Great game with hours of gameplay and challenging too. Get the XB version if you have a XB if not then the PS2 version is cool.

Wow, many people considering Shadow Hearts huh? I guess that's a must for me too.

You're supposed to train the AI; after a while, they start using the same tactics and moves as you did when you manually controlled them. How well they do that and how well they adapt artificially depends on how much points you allocate to 'attack' and 'defence'. Anything above 6 is very good.

Music was pretty decent. I got the vol.1 boxset; thankfully, it does not have the rap track.
