.hack//fragment is ONLINE!!!

Bandai announced their .hack online game in the famous japanese magazine Famitsu and is called .hack//fragment

I CANNOT wait for this game to be released. They say its comming out this year in Japan and probaly depending on how well it does, its most likely comming to the US. I'm going to pre-order this baby like 6 months before release.

If anyone else is a fan of the series or were waiting for this very game then this is an exciting news story (at least for me)

Yeah, but as of right now, it's a PS2 exclusive, which is retarded given the whole HDD fiasco.

I STILL don't know how they're going to pull this off and have it be enjoyible. The thing about the .hack universe was that everything happening to Tsukasa and Kite and Black Rose and the whole gang there was supposed to be just big time rumors, supposedly baseless facts which were constantly being covered up by the head office (I forget the name). Unless it's like PSO where you can simply opt to do the same pre-made mission over and over again, I don't see how they can have a long, engaging storyline that follows Morgana's plight/greed/obsession.

But if they just wanna make a version of the world, that's fine. But it's also not what a lot of .hack fans are going to be looking for.

Either way, I don't really see this usurping PSU's position.

To bad its NOT a ps2 exclusive. The article said that they're not sure if they wanna release it for ps2 or not. Its definetely going to be a pc game though. A lot of .hack fans are looking for a version of "The Worls" anyways. Not many people wanna be Kite AGAIN and do the .hack bracelet crap over and over.

It just has PC connectivity, I seriously doubt it's going to be a PC game. Anyway Cyber Connect is incapable of making a decent game as they stand. Maybe they need to put actual time into their games and get fan opinions. As it stands their quality is about the same level as Bandai, which is terrible.

Yeah I guess it cant be a PC game since the game itself is played on a computer in the series and it was announced for the PC. Yeah, there's no chance for it to be on the pc

Read closely. It will have CONNECTIVITY with the PC. So you can make maps on the PC and it'll probably work as a server but that's ALL. The game will be PLAYED on the PS2.

Thanks for correcting me Darkness (im not being sarcastic). I thought it meant the PS2 will have connectivity with the PC so you can play the game with people on the PC and the PS2.
