I'm thinking of getting this game, but not sure. I loved Wipeout 64 and XL. How many tracks does this game have? Ships?

If you have a Gamecube, wait for F-Zero instead....

I thought this game was pretty decent, maybe not as good as Wipeout 3 but I didn't get a chance to play it enough, especially since the geniuses decided to not release this in Japan.

Wipeout Fusion, isn't a bad game, but doesn't come even close to Wipeout XL.
One major problem with Fusion is the weapons system. there's just to many on track It doesn't feel like a stategic racing game anymore! More like a Twisted Metal racing game if you ask me! Neverthless, Give it a shoot ! |

![]() As for suggesting F-Zero, we'll see, its kinda far from the release date. By that time, I'm checking out Xbox's Quantum Red and Wipeout 3 on PSone. Never played it.

Wipeout 3 is amazing. If you play it on a PS2 with the smooth texture mapping enabled, you won't believe your eyes. It looks like it could be a true PS2 game. Not only that, but the tracks are great, the control is perfect (especially with a NegCon), and the hidden tracks are cool.
Wipeout 64 is good in its own right, not as good as Wipeout 3, but the challenges are great, and again the control is great too. Wipeout Fusion definately feels different than the previous games. I can't put my finger on it. I like the game very much, but not as much as 3. Then again none of them matter when compared to F-Zero X. |

I'm mad that Sony bought Psygnosis. No more Wipeout for Nintendo.

Wipeout 64 came out after Sony bought Psygnosis... besides, Psyg wasn't even behind Fusion.

I can't recall exactly how many tracks there are, but there are plenty, and every ship can be modified to more advanced models. There are also codes to transform your ship into a farm animal or classic models(really). The game has got style. Sky
