I hate weddings. Well actually the weddings I can stand (because they are less than an hour), it's the receptions that drive me nuts. I only go when I am forced. Because I know how to operate a video camera people think that I'd LOVE to videotape their wedding and reception for them.

I got paid to do one when I got hired as a wedding videographer, working with a local photographer. I finished it up, handed over the VHS tapes (yes) and said "screw this crap" and never did any more. Then a friend of mine got married and asked me to do it as a wedding gift. The buttmunch had a full mass wedding plus reception. Pissed me off, but at least I knew most people there which helped a lot. I still left as early as possible, though. Then recently my aunt had me videotape her reception. Pissed me off. The sound always sucks and I never have more than 2 cameras so the editing sucks and I hate it. If anyone else ever asks me, I'll tell them I can't do it because I plan to commit suicide the day before or something.

I don't see the point of going to a wedding. You'll just have to go to court 2 years later for the divorce all the same.

****, when did a wedding portrait become 'not good enough'. I would hate to have my wedding tape-recorded. Frame by frame, moment by moment. You would lose the nostalgic feeling of reminiscing on the event just the way you remember. Not the way some douche with a camera saw it(no offense Joe). Quote:

He is busy praying for our heathen souls. Or maybe out on a school field trip or field jihad.
