Contra Advance
So who's getting this? It is supposed to be an enhanced port of the SNES game, with new levels. I don't know if I have heard anything about two player co-opertive. Since Contra games has always been made for two players. Maybe a link up...

I think it will be a link up thingy cause i've seen a pic (the ones that were recently released) and you saw 2 guys in the same screen shooting around!
I'm deffently getting this game! Been a part of my childhood gaming life so NOWAY i'm gonna miss this game! I'm also curious about the new levels and i'm very happy with what Konami did by add new lvls in it so it wouldn't be just a port with better graphics! :cool guy:

Have you seen the skelet monster? The one that comes from the background? He's so funny in the gba version!
Don't worry Kid ..this game will be a must have for your GBA ..I think they did a very good job in making some new stages so it wouldn't feel like just playin a port game! what do you think about that ? Plus i'm sure it's still got the same feeling as for when it was on the SNES!

Will the GBA version still have those top-down mode-7 levels?

According to the latest list the Contra for the GBA will be called CONTRA - HARD SPIRIT
I wonder if they will change the character to robots and also the name of the game in Europe!

I think that was the name, not sure though! I never played the PAL version but i've heard because back in the days Germany had a few rules about games whit guns and shooting people and war games and stuff like that so they change the characters into robots ! Don't know why ..but thank god i had the US version!
stupid Pal version @#$%#

Here are some new details about the weapon systems I heard. In the past, when you get a new weapon, you will lose the one you're currently using, unless you change to the second right before you gets it. In this game, when you pick up a new weapon, the old one will spits out, if the new weapon you got isn't in your taste, you can pick up the one you just had.

From what I understand, the top-down mode 7 levels of the Snes version have been replaced with levels straight out of Contra: Hard Corps for the Genesis, which is easily my fave Contra game. It may not have been as "majestic" as Contra III, but the bosses in that game were amazing, and the scaling and rotation effects were impressive too.
