After looking at these screens,i strongly belive that in about 2 years the DS will achive graphics very identical to the DC.

c'mon man, give the dreamcast a lil love, it was only the best gaming platform to ever exist. They in no way compare to the dreamcast. They are better than n64 games though, and would be right in the middle of n64 and dreamcast, but not the same quality at all. Everything was so bright and vivid on that wonderful machine, and ps2/GC/XBOX games only look marginally better.

LOL..lets not argue but u mean to tell me halo2 ,re4 and gt4 only look marignally better than DC games?...dont get me wrong i love the DC, i still have it hooked up right now.Also note how i said 2 years and identical to DC not better also you forgot to add IMO about the DC being the best system ever.

Still you gotta admit that rayman looks sweet for a portable game.

Well it'll definitely be better but I wouldn't say it'll reach DC's level.

theSoftware, ive also seen your thread in the Playstation forum, and i think your overestimating both handhelds.
In a realistic view, the DS power is in lign with the N64 and it wont evolve to a DC like quality since theres too big of a difference. The PSP is the same, it has a quality level around the DC and PS2, but wont touch the Xbox exclusives graphical level.
If you continue to view the handhelds like that youll end up beeing let down by them.

Well see. Namco said they want to port the DC version of Soul Calibur onto the DS.

I laughed at them, but..at least they're thinking aghead.

Well Nem, i think ur logic is pretty flawed..here's why.By what u are saying gt4 should not look better than all racers on xbox and re4 should not be better looking than 95% of xbox's third person games,even tho xbox's specs are better.If u look at the gameboy advance you'll notice a good jump in graphic quality over the SNES,such as iridion 3d and even the castlevanias.Lets do 1 even better look to DC, the specs are way lower than that of the xbox/gc/ps2 but yet there are games on the system that look better than current gen games.

Somthing even more intersting..ign said that the ds version of SM64 looks far beyond the n64 counterpart,urban asphalt gt looks better than n64 rr,and mostly all other racers on the system...now lets keep in mind that most of the ds games were developed in 5-6 months..first gen games that surpases n64 games..think about that .Evryone know that first gen games always look the worst and improve significantlly thu a systems life..who would have thought the ps2 could do jak3,R&C,gt4,huge games like gta :SA and soon to be re4.From the launch games of the ps2 it wouldnt appear that the system could do those games.

One more thing, if the DS right now graphically is between the n64 and DC graphically,when games start looking better(and trust me they will)year after year, u mean to tell me it wont look closer to DC games than n64 games?As a matter of fact the only real difference i see the ds not being able to do, is the clean unpixilated texture of the DC,which can always me done thru software.

Yes it is close to n64, might even look better in motion.Its a matter of what u prefer, blurr or pixels.

Most of the DS games surpass anything you can find on early N64 games. Mario 64 DS has quite a bit up on its N64 counterpart. The main reason people can't tell is because the DS lacks the texture filtering of the N64. Just compare Mario's N64 model to his DS model. The DS version is more rounded and detailed, but just isn't as smooth looking on the surface due to texture filtering. The DS can achieve games that can do more than games on the N64, no doubt.

Yes that is what im saying Ioriy..if games look already better than n64 this early on,would it be to far fetch that the games are gonna keep looking better and better?If that happens what is the next system graphically in line after the 64?The DC,mark my words all doubters the ds will be able to do DC graphics in about 2 years.
