PSP Region Free?
http://www.lik-sang.com/news.php?artc=3506
Update: Sony has now also confirmed that the PSP will be Region Free for games. You can play games worldwide from any region! This is some brilliant news for import gamers worldwide! I wish I could get coroborating evidence on this, but if it is true, not only is it good news for importers, but it could do away with that whole archaic CD region coding of console games (which I hope it does). http://www.cdfreaks.com/news2.php?ID=9455 Im not sure, but I believe it is region free... Or I hope it is ;) because instead of a cd, its a cassete type like an MD or GBA game. Last edited by Punkdrew; 10-28-2004 at 03:18 AM. |

No, it's not. It's just a CD in a dock.

I'm glad I'm half Japanese, half white. I can read Japanese almost as perfect as english. So I'll be playing both american and japanese games (mostly japansese because i like the language better ;) )

I think the hardest thing about reading Japanese in RPGs is that they tend to use archaic Japanese or a strange dialect, so even if you have been studying Japanese for 10+ years (like myself), its still a bit difficult to understand 100% of what's being said, even though you get the gist of it.

Definitely, I'm playing Tales of Phantasia right now, and I understand some of it, even the jokes actually. But Japanese rpg's are pretty hard to understand, good thing Custom Robo has Hiragana subtitles for the Kanji. |
