Look what I got for $2.97 each:

Super Mario mangas vol. 14 and 16. It has everything that kids would truly love to look at

It has breast.

Child abuse.

Rape.

And poop. Lots of it!

The anime almost caught up with the manga in like 80 episodes they should have paced themselves abit better.

Dragon Ball Kai just finished in Japan. The finally finished up to episode 97. Now all I have to do is watch One Piece, just so I can understand what the hell is going on in the new crossover coming up.

The last truly awesome anime I've seen was Texhnolyze. Story depicts a world and environment that is genuinely frightening and confusing. There is also a certain and foreboding sense of human realism depicted here, which ranges from Ichise's harsh and cruel struggle for survival(whose suffering seems to know no end) to the ruthless organizations in Lux such as the Organo, to the messianiac inbred Class with their leader Kano who wants to 'rebirth' the human race by turning them into so called Shapes(humans with mechanical bodies), and the the surface world dwellers themselves who are nothing but a bunch of apathetic ghosts waiting to die.

It's inaccessible at first but if you see through it Texhnolyze is probably the deepest and most rewarding anime ever made.

Also seen Ergo Proxy not too long ago. Pretty good, the plot loses some consistency over its course but is largely compensated by an engaging cast and interesting themes it touches upon.

As far as manga, I'm somewhat of a fan of Tsutomu Nihie. Dude is able to come up with some very weird and intriguing stories. Blame! is very good but a little too labyrinthine for my tastes, but Biomega is definitely extremely awesome. Espescially the first distinctly cyberpunk half. After that it once again turns into some very weird fantasy hybrid but remains good, and imo easier to get into than Blame!

I concur, Texhnolyze & Ergo Proxy are 2 truly awesome mature themed animes I've ever seen.

I also like the music in Ergo Proxy.

But Blame and Biomega confused the hell out of me. I either got lost because the plot was so convulted or the space of time it took for each chapter to be scanlated was so long I forgot where I left off. Either way it halted me from continuing further.

I watched up to episode 200 in one piece and stopped. And now I have a backlog of anime from this season. Only God knows when I'll be able to finish them all.

I thought the next one piece cross over was with Toriko.

Also: Linked for huge

Better than I thought. Deadman Wonderland better be fantastic though. I am literally pinning the hopes and dreams of all current anime on this show. If they fuck it up, modern studios are showing that they don't know how to appropriately translate mangas into anime, and their exclusive stuff is all moeblob bullshit.

I kind of wish shaft had the show. At least then I wouldn't have to worry. Shaft has been on a 3 year roll of excellence.

that with toriko was just a 2 feature movie, the CGI 3D one piece movie and then the 3D toriko movie.

It's not airing anywhere it's a planned series of movies like Kara no Kyoukai was.

The last two anime seasons have been excellent of course if the new anime laws come into effect and actually change anything we'll all be watching Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh after july because nothing else will be on.

Honestly I thought the winter season of anime was the worst one we've had in years. Only one good show (Madoka) out of almost 30. That's sad. Fall was marginally better.

Things really need to shape up. When another season of Queen's Blade is your headliner, you have huge problems.
