The anime for Kenshin was brilliant once the proper story started up after ep 20. And the movie was brilliant.

To be honest with you, I didn't like the anime at all. The animation was great, and so was the action. But the fillers were painful, the two little girls were unnecessary, the music was out of place, the acting wasn't inspiring and the show itself for my conclusion was just boring.

The mangas, on the other hand, were much better. The story was told better, and it continued after Shishio's death. There were 28 volumes, and the story did tend to get better and better. If I were you, I would stick with reading the mangas rather than watching the anime. I have heard about the movie, and one of my friends did spoiled one part for me. But I don't want to hear it from anyone here, only because I'm not too sure I was told the truth about it ended. I have to see it myself.

I almost forgot to mention that the last volume had a free double-sided poster in it. I looked in the manga, and it wasn't there. I know this manga was used, but that was just upsetting for me. I wanted to at least see the poster for myself and see if it was even worthy of being put in my wall of awesomeness that I will soon create in my room.

Well I finished watching the anime like over 10 years ago or so. Like I said the filler stuff were crap. I watched up to episode 8 to get a feel of the characters, then skipped forward to around 25 just before the shishio story began. The voice acting and music for that part of the story were excellent. And the animation was great. I also like the story they made after that, I think it was an original one.

3d Movie directed by Yoshitaka Amano (1st director's gig), Zan (or Deva Zan?).
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...s-1st-film-zan

First project for Amano's production studio, Studio Deva Loka.

Quote:
The story of the 3D film begins at the end of the 19th century, when a samurai named Zan is led to a world in an alternate dimension to battle evil. In addition to directing for the first time, Amano conceived the story and drafted the original art.
Website went up today:

So the movie is coming out on the same exact day, month and year 2012 was based on. Pretty odd.

Unfortunately it's just an ad for the ebook release of No.5, I would really wish for an No.5 OVA that exactly looks like this. That'll be a breath of fresh air, between all those moe infested crap that's called anime these days.

So Toriko is officially getting an anime. Good, because I need stuff to watch, I just hope it doesn't go all DBZ stupid long.

I'd just like to re-iterate.

Jellyfish Princess is the best anime of winter 2010. There's something wrong with that.

But this show is too good.

I can't believe this, please provide reasons.

I nominate Legend of the Legendary Heroes...no reasons necessary

My personal faves will always be the Samurai X: Trust & Betrayal OAV and Naruto-Naruto Shippuden.

Currently though, i'm watching Eyeshield21 and it is easily turning out to be one of my faves as well. Funny thing is though, I'm not a huge fan of American football. I suppose that's the thing with Anime, if done right, they can get you into stuff you wasn't too interested in, be it sport or whatever.

I'm also gonna start watching Inazuma Eleven, Amagami SS, Bakuman, Kiba and Macross Frontier. Yeah, I have a long way to go and I'll need a hell lot of time on my hands to be able to keep up.
