I didn't latch onto Ni No Kuni right away. The first 3-4 hours of the game, for me, was boring. After the first story arc and after you pick up more familiars, the game starts getting more fun. To be honest though, the story and the artwork was my biggest reason why I kept playing. The battle mechanics was so-so. I found I used only about 3 familiars out of the hundreds you can play from. If you're into collecting, then you may find this game more enjoyable overall. I'm not much into that...also why I don't play the Pokemon rpg titles.

I liked the game, but not enough for a second play through.

Just picked up Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the 3DS. This game...and perhaps other in its series has got a bit of a learning curve! I'm 4 hours into it, and have finally started some quests...so it's getting better. I'm a complete noob to the Monster Hunter universe and I was expecting some hand-holding for the basics...but nope, minimal spoon-feeding here.

My biggest gripe with the game is the camera...good god I hate how the 3DS handles it. The touch screen, for me, is a horrible interface to manipulate the camera angles. Blah! Thank goodness for target camera lock...geezy creezy. I might invest in the Circle Pad Pro...I think that will make my life a bit easier.

I'm being told that I'll dump 30-40 hours into the game before I get decent at some of the weapon classes. -sigh-...good thing the game is portable.

Inventory was a bit cumbersome at first, but after the first hour...I got a better handle on how to manage my shit. You accrue some much shit in so little time...and it's hard to know what will be useful and what I should sell off...I just kept everything.

Overall, I'm liking this game...I think after I've invested more hours into my hunter, I'll be addicted like others...so I don't think I'll be playing or buying anything new for a while...which is a good thing...for the wallet. I have a PS4 with not a god damned title I want to play right now. Stupid launch titles! Almost bought Knack...but screw it, got 3DS games instead.

i was like you sul, played ni no kuni for about 2 hrs initially and put it down. came back to it about 3 or 4 weeks later when the girlfriend was out of town and played it straight thru the entire weekend. haven't been able to pick it back up, since when i play it now, i don't want to quit and the gf gets butthurt. i was hoping she'd like it since howl's moving castle is one of her favorite movies but she's just kinda "meh".

I got Virtua Tennis 4 for the Vita.

I was suprised at all theimprovements this versions has. The reason why i had dropped the series after Virtua tennis 2 was because it was always the same game repacked with new players.
Virtua tennis 4 actually brings some depth. The world tour mode is quite cool aswell. It plays like a board game, ala Mario party.
